The Anaheim Ducks announced they have reassigned defenseman Joe Piskula to the San Diego Gulls(AHL Team). Piskula did not play in any games for Anaheim after his recall from San Diego on Oct. 24. He has played in four games for the Gulls this year without any points and a +/- rating of +2.

Additionally, according to Renaud Lavoie, forward Tim Jackman has been placed on waivers. If he clears waivers tomorrow morning, then he will likely be assigned to the San Diego Gulls. Jackman has played in two games in Anaheim without any points. His +/- was -2 and he had four penalty minutes with one shot on goal.

Ryan Getzlaf and Nate Thompson should both be back soon. Thompson has been skating at practice and Getzlaf’s surgery went well.

According to the Ducks Jiri Sekac has been placed on the injured reserve. He left the game last night in the second period and didn’t play in the third. Sources saw him in a walking boot after the game. He appears to have an ankle injury that could keep him out for about a week.
