The Chapman University Ice Hockey team won the CCHL Championship this past Sunday! The Chapman Ice Hockey team beat UC Santa Barbara in a 5-0 shutout win. This is the program’s first Championship!
The program has been around for five years with the university officially and is a fully self-funded club team. The cost of having a ice hockey team is not inexpensive and the team needs as much help as they can get. If you can spare some extra change, then please donate here to keep the program running: Chapman Ice Hockey Donations
Being an alumnus from Chapman University (01′), I am very happy to see our hockey program succeed like this. When I went to Chapman there wasn’t even a hockey team associated to the university. I played football for a few years as a wide receiver during my time there.
Also, the Chapman University Alumni Association is having a Chapman Family night this Friday at Honda Center. If you are an alumnus or are part of the Chapman family, then join them on Friday, February 26, to watch the Anaheim Ducks take on the Edmonton Oilers. All Chapman Family attendees will get one raffle ticket to enter to win a Zamboni ride (during the first intermission) or a signed jersey. Enter to win at the Chapman table located outside section 203. They will pick a winner for the Zamboni ride at 6:45 p.m. and the signed jersey at 7:30 p.m. You must be present to win. I will be there to support the program!
