Anaheim Ducks 33-19-8, 74 points, 2nd in the Pacific Division

The Anaheim Ducks went 3-0-0 this week. They beat the Calgary Flames and Buffalo Sabres. They finished the week edging the Edmonton Oilers in overtime.

Win The Week?

The Ducks won the week in a clean three game sweep for the second week in a row. They earned all six possible points in the three games. The Ducks beat the Flames in a high scoring game and then beat the Sabres and Oilers in low scoring affairs. The Ducks are currently on a seven game winning streak.

Player of the Week

Frederik Andersen is our player of the week. He played in two games this week, earning a shutout against the Buffalo Sabres and only giving up one goal against the Edmonton Oilers. He made 43 saves on 44 shots. He had a 0.49 GAA and a .977 SV% in the two games this week. He hasn’t lost a regulation game dating back to December 21. Andersen has gone 11-0-2, with 1.83 GAA and .938 SV% since then.

Injury News

Clayton Stoner

He did not play this week, but per a team source he could play when necessary. He has been dealing with a hip flexor issue for most of the season.

Reacquired Chris Wagner

Earlier this week the Colorado Avalanche placed Wagner on waivers and the Anaheim Ducks were able to claim him back. He was assigned to the San Diego Gulls, which Anaheim is allowed to do without having him pass through waivers as per CBA Rule 13.22 (see page 82).
