Today the NHL fined Josh Manson $2,486.56 for his throat slash gesture he made to Toronto’s Nazem Kadri during the third period of Anaheim’s 6-5 overtime loss. Manson was checked hard into the boards by Kadri, who received a two minute minor boarding penalty. Manson wasn’t happy about the play and made the gesture to Kadri. Manson received a game misconduct for the gesture.
The money from the fine goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
Kadri was fined $5,000 earlier in the season when he made the gesture to Calgary’s Mark Giordano back in February. Here is the video of that incident.
