According to Bruce Boudreau, Simon Despres has been cleared to play this week. Here is what he had to say about returning to the ice:

According to Eric Stephens of the OC Register, Frederik Andersen was on the ice today as well. It appears he left the ice early, while John Gibson and Anton Khudobin held the nets for the workout.

Rickard Rakell may start skating tomorrow at the earliest. He had his appendix removed last week.

This is an extremely crucial week for the Ducks as they battle for first in the Pacific Division, but more importantly they are trying to get healthy heading into the playoffs. Having Despres back likely tomorrow against the Winnipeg Jets will be an added bonus to the Ducks’ blueline depth. Additionally, Rakell is hoping to return this weekend.

Anaheim is still missing Kevin Bieksa(Upper Body), Brandon Pirri(Upper Body), and David Perron(Shoulder). There is no timetable for when Bieksa or Pirri will return. Perron is expected to miss 4-6 weeks and has already missed two so far.

Eddy Jones and I look at the final week sharing our thoughts as the Ducks close out the season.
