Today the Anaheim Ducks began the player interviews. In addition to our report about Hampus Lindholm‘s rib injury, there were more injuries reported today.

Kevin Bieksa

He didn’t state what his specific injury was, but acknowledged that it had to do with his arm. He felt it limited him and his ability to play as physical as he wanted to.

Josh Manson

He suffered a mild concussion and a sprained shoulder in Game 1. The plan was to be available if the Ducks advanced to Round 2. It appears he will not need surgery on his shoulder.

Rickard Rakell

He stated that he wasn’t at 100% after the surgery for his busted appendix. His strength and conditioning was down as a result. Rakell and Lindholm expressed a desire to stay with Anaheim long term.

A reoccurring theme amongst the players today was how they felt responsible for Bruce Boudreau being let go. The players didn’t make any excuses for what happened in the playoffs.

Our latest podcast is out discussing the playoffs, Boudreau’s termination, and where the Ducks go from here.
