Today the Anaheim Ducks hold a Select-A-Seat event where season ticket holders can attend to change their seats.

At the event today GM Bob Murray and Head Coach Randy Carlyle addressed the first group of season ticket holders at 9:00AM. Murray announced that Sami Vatanen has been re-signed for 4 more years. According to Eric Stephens of the OC Register, the deal is worth $19.5 million. ($5 million in 2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19, and $4.5 million in 2019-20).

With Vatanen signed, this leaves Frederik Andersen, Hampus Lindholm, Brandon Pirri, and Rickard Rakell among the RFAs left to be re-signed. According to Murray, it doesn’t look like the possibility of re-signing Andersen is going well at the moment. Also since Vatanen has been signed, it will be interesting to see if a deal is able to be reached with Lindholm.

In the Anaheim Ducks live session on Facebook, Murray mentioned that he would like to get more draft picks. He also said that acquiring a left-shooting left wing is a high priority. To see the whole video visit www.facebook.com/anaheimducks.

In regards to Honda Center, the Wifi has been upgraded and $2 million has been spent improving the sewer system.
