The Anaheim Ducks(35-22-10) face the St. Louis Blues(33-27-5). The Ducks are 0-0-1 against the Blues this season.

Anaheim Outlook:

The Ducks were able to edge the Chicago Blackhawks yesterday behind a great shutout performance from Jonathan Bernier. John Gibson will start tonight. Jhonas Enroth has be reassigned to San Diego. The Ducks are in second place in the Pacific Division just two points ahead of Edmonton and Calgary. Rickard Rakell leads the team with 27 goals. Ryan Kesler has 19 goals and Jakob Silfverberg has 18.

Keys To The Game

The Ducks need to get off to a better start tonight. Bernier bailed the team out last night as Chicago piled on 19 shots on goal in the first 20 minutes. Anaheim can’t do that to their goalie night in and night out. Corey Perry finally scored last night after a 10 game drought. He needs to get hot here in the final weeks of the season for the Ducks to make a strong push for the playoffs.

Anaheim’s Projected Lineup

Offense
Patrick Eaves – Ryan Getzlaf – Rickard Rakell
Andrew Cogliano – Ryan Kesler – Jakob Silfverberg
Ondrej Kase – Nate Thompson – Corey Perry
Logan Shaw – Chris Wagner – Jared Boll

Defense
Cam Fowler – Kevin Bieksa
Hampus Lindholm – Josh Manson
Sami Vatanen – Brandon Montour

In Net
John Gibson 23-15-8, GAA 2.24, SV% .922 (Confirmed)

St. Louis Outlook:

The Blues are fighting it out for their playoff lives. They currently have 71 points and are holding down the 8th playoff spot, but the Los Angeles Kings are just one point behind them for the wild card spot. The Blues have won two in a row beating Colorado and Minnesota. They had lost five in a row prior to that. Vladimir Tarasenko leads the team with 29 goals. Patrik Berglund has 18 goals and Paul Stastny has 17.

Keys To The Game

The Blues are having trouble scoring as of late. In their last seven games, they have only scored more than two goals in a game one time. They need to get off to a good start against an Anaheim team that played last night. The Blues give up more shots than they take so they will need to block shots and get in the shooting lanes to help their goalie out tonight.

St. Louis’ Projected Lineup

Offense
Jaden Schwartz – Paul Stastny – Vladimir Tarasenko
Alex Steen – Patrik Berglund – David Perron
Dmitrij Jaskin – Jori Lehtera – Magnus Paajarvi
Scottie Upshall – Kyle Brodziak – Ryan Reaves

Defense
Jay Bouwmeester – Alex Pietrangelo
Joel Edmundson – Colton Parayko
Carl Gunnarsson – Robert Bortuzzo

In Net
Jake Allen, 24-18-3, GAA 2.57, SV% .908 (Unconfirmed)
