Today Randy Carlyle held a press conference after the Anaheim Ducks 3-2 win over the Calgary Flames. The Ducks had an optional skate as Carlyle feels the team should either go with a full skate the day before a game or on game day, but not both. Carlyle said that he was optimistic that Cam Fowler could begin skating again next week. Fowler was seen at practice today walking without a brace. He also said he was feeling pretty good. He was originally projected to be out 2-6 weeks. Fowler was injured on April 4th when the Ducks beat the Flames 3-1 at Honda Center. He took a hard hit from Mark Giordano as shown below.

The Ducks will get Nick Ritchie back from Game 2 tomorrow. He was suspended two games for punching Michal Rozsival after he cross-checked Corey Perry in the back in the Ducks second to last game of the season.

The Ducks take on the Flames tomorrow at Honda Center for Game 2. The Ducks have beaten the Flames in 25 straight regular season games since 2004 in Anaheim. If you include playoff games, then the Ducks have beaten the Flames 28 straight times in Anaheim since the 2006 playoffs.
