Anaheim Outlook

The Ducks played the Coyotes twice over the past weekend and despite leading in both contests, Anaheim lost each game. Alexander Volkov scored in his Ducks debut on Friday and Trevor Zegras had a couple of assists in the second game. Anaheim currently has 29 points and is in last place in the West Division.

The Ducks announced yesterday Trevor Zegras was reassigned to the Gulls, but General Manager Bob Murray stated he would return in the near future. We discussed the situation here: The Zegras Yo-Yo

Olle Eriksson Ek and Maxim Golod were reassigned to the Gulls.

David Backes and Sam Carrick were reassigned to the taxi squad, but then added back to the roster.

Simon Benoit and Benoit-Olivier Groulx added to taxi squad from Gulls.

Ryan Getzlaf(IR upper-body) did not practice yesterday and is questionable to play tonight.
Rickard Rakell(IR upper-body) skated on his own and is “inching closer” per Head Coach Dallas Eakins.
Sonny Milano(IR upper-body) practiced with team but in a non-contact jersey.
Sam Steel(IR lower-body) did not skate yesterday.


Hampus Lindholm(wrist) is on the LTIR for about 6 weeks with a fractured wrist.

Carter Rowney had knee surgery and will be out for 4-6 months. He had a medial meniscus tear in his left knee. He was placed on the LTIR.

The Sharks are currently on a four game winning streak, beating Minnesota and Los Angeles two times each. They are tied for 5th place in the West Division with St. Louis at 38 points. They are both five points behind 4th place Arizona. The Sharks do have two games in hand over the Coyotes. San Jose is 6-3-1 in their last 10 games.
